Fistula is preventable and treatable. Our work follows a woman's whole journey: we help prevent it, fund the surgery that repairs it, and stand with her as she recovers.
Most fistula can be prevented. Many families have never heard of VVF, and many women who live with it believe nothing can be done. We change that with clear, respectful information.
We talk with women, men, community and religious leaders, and health workers about safe childbirth and the signs of fistula, and we challenge the stigma that keeps women hidden.

A skilled surgeon can close most fistulas. For many women the barrier is cost, distance or not knowing where to go.
We raise funds for repair surgery and work with hospitals and trained fistula surgeons, so women who cannot afford treatment can receive it with dignity.

Healing does not end in the operating theatre. After years of living with fistula, many women need time, care and support to rebuild their confidence, their income and their place in the community.
We walk with women through recovery and help them return home ready for what comes next.

Fistula persists where maternal healthcare is out of reach. Ending it for good means changing that.
We organise advocacy programmes and conferences, and build partnerships with hospitals, government bodies and other organisations, so that women's voices shape the decisions that affect their health.

If you leak urine after childbirth, it is not your fault, and you do not have to live with it. VVF can be treated.
